6AM was a multi-sensory installation. In which the viewer's sense of smell, sight, sound, and touch were implicated. In the gallery was 200 square feet of sod, an audio track recorded off of my balcony playing on a loop, blue gels creating crisp, cool lighting, attempting to mimic that the haze of early morning. Additionally, the temperature in the room was brought down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The sound piece starts off serene, but quickly devolves into an anxious pace. Overall, my intention was to create a space that felt like waking up.
